Summer Full Credit Courses

This program is for all current West Mifflin Area School District secondary students (Grades 9-12). Full-credit courses are online with students working asynchronously. This is for a student who has never taken this class before and wishes to advance to a higher-level course before the next school year. For example, if I take Geometry this summer, I can take Algebra II in the Fall. Please complete the application below if you would like to earn full-credit for a class that you need to increase your academic standing. Please note students must meet bi-weekly minimum work completion checks to continue in the course. Courses include: Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Algebra II, Geometry, Civics, US History, World History, Psychology, Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science, and English 7-12, and Physical Education.

Credit Recovery Courses

Summer Credit Recovery is for all current West Mifflin Area School District secondary students (Grades 7-12). Recovery courses are online with students working asynchronously. Please complete the application below if you need to recover lost academic credit or if you wish to retake a class to obtain mastery knowledge. Coures include: Math 7, Math 8, Pre-Alegebra, Algebra, Algebra II, Geometry, Civics, US History, World History, Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science, English 7-11, and Physical Education.

In-Person Maximum Credit Recovery

Our traditional online summer programs are not equipped to meet the needs of learners who need to recover more than three credits to move onto the next grade level. For these students, we need the max credit recovery option. In this option, students are required to attend summer school in-person four days/week. Students will work with teachers in small groups to acquire essential knowledge of core classes and obtain elective recovery course credit; thus, allowing students to receive up to 6.5 recovery credits. This program requires students to attend In-person summer school with a 90% attendance rate. Transportation is not provided. Monday-Thursday 9AM-12PM, June 10, 2024 through July 18, 2024. No school on July 4, 2024.
