Swim Lesson Classes we offer:

Parent/Child (ages 6 mos. – 3 years, or extremely fearful older children): This class will introduce the child to the water through songs, games, and beginner skills. A LARGE focus is also placed on water safety skills at this age. Repetitive motion is vital at this age. A parent or guardian must accompany the child and children MUST wear swim diapers. Parents are permitted on deck during this class.

Preschool (ages 3-5): This class will introduce your child to swimming skills based on their current ability. A heavy focus will be placed on body position to allow for the child to be able to progress, breathing and and being able to submerge their face, and back floating - as well as rolling onto their back independently, as these skills are crucial to basic survival swimming. We strive to push your child to succeed while understanding that sometimes that includes overcoming fears. Once your child is acclimated to class, parents are asked to watch from the balcony to prevent distractions.

Upper PreK (ages 4-6): This class will introduce your child to swimming skills based on their current ability. A heavy focus will be placed on body position to allow for the child to be able to progress, breathing and and being able to submerge their face, and back floating - as well as rolling onto their back independently, as these skills are crucial to basic survival swimming. School Age (7 and Up): From beginner to advanced, your child will be placed in an appropriate grouping. Intro to Competitive Swimming (Must have basic skills): Swimmers will swim widths (and occasional lengths) to practice more efficient techniques and gain endurance in the water. They will be introduced to the competitive strokes, and will also be introduced to starts and turns.
