High School Back to School

Welcome Back to School!

As you begin the year, remember to pace yourself—set goals, build strong routines, and stay connected with your peers and teachers. There’s so much to look forward to, from learning and growth to fun and friendships. We’re excited to support you and see all you’ll accomplish this year!

Here you’ll find everything you need to help your first days go smoothly. If you have any questions that aren’t covered here, feel free to contact the main office at 412-466-9131 for assistance.

Getting to Campus

Students are expected to be in the building by 7:15 AM with a warning bell, followed by the first period starting at 7:20 AM. The school day ends at 2:15 PM.

Additional forms and polices can be located here.

School Bus Transportation
Student transportation is provided through our partnership with Krise Transportation. Bus assignments will be mailed to your home about one week before the first day of school in August. If you’ve recently moved, please be sure to update your mailing address to avoid delays.

For questions regarding transportation, you can contact Krise Transportation at (412) 346-4108.

Drop-Off Procedures
If you are dropping off your student, please use the gymnasium entrance labeled C10.

Student Parking Information

Parking on school grounds is a privilege for students who meet all requirements and maintain appropriate behavior. Permits are issued based on a priority system outlined in the WMHS Student Handbook.

  • Copy of valid driver’s license
  • Copy of vehicle registration (must be in the name of the student, parent, or legal guardian)
  • Copy of current insurance card
  • Completed application and signed permission slip
  • $50 a semester processing fee

Refer to the Parking section of the WMHS Student Handbook for complete details and district policies.

Meal Services

We take pride in the carefully planned and nutritious meals provided to West Mifflin students in our cafeteria. All students receive free meal options at both breakfast and lunch. You will still need to set up a cafeteria account at School Cafe.

If your student has special dietary restrictions, please complete this form with your student's physician.

Cafe

In addition to regular meals, we also offer a café where students can purchase snacks. To add funds to your student’s café account, please follow these instructions.
