Technology Tip!

We all are looking for ways to get technology in the classroom, and money is tight so here are a few ways to get what you need.

You can list the supplies she needs, explain the project the materials will be used for, and all expenses (including S&H).  Then random, anonymous people will donate money to the cause.

You can submit a lesson (project) and if she is picked, she will receive the   

amount of money that specific grant states.  Keep in mind each grant has it’s own theme.

K-5 grade teachers are invited to use Toshiba America Foundation's short application form to describe a set of lessons or a hands-on project they would like to introduce in their own classrooms.

With the Toshiba America Foundation grant, elementary teachers bring their best new teaching ideas to life.


Grant applications are due on October 1st each year. We missed it this year but save for next year.

Do you teach 6-12 science or math? Do you have a wish list of instructional equipment that will make learning more exciting for your students? If the answer is yes to these questions, Toshiba America Foundation would like to hear from you.

6-12 Grants 
Grade 6-12 applications for $5,000 or less are accepted on a rolling basis, throughout the calendar year. Grants requests of more than $5,000 are reviewed twice a year. Applications for grants of more than $5,00 are due August 1st and February 1st each year.

Organizations seeking grants must actively support programs that address the Verizon Foundation's focus areas of education, literacy, domestic violence prevention or technology for healthcare and healthcare accessibility.
