Educational Background: Mr. Risha holds a bachelors degree from Slippery Rock University, and elementary and secondary principal certifications, a masters degree, and superintendent’s letter of eligibility from the University of Pittsburgh. Career Highlights: Previous Superintendent of Schools at McKeesport Area School District and Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent at South Allegheny School District, serving in central office positions for over 11 years. Other Notables: Chairman of the Allegheny Intermediate Unit’s Legislative Committee and past President of Area V Superintendents. “As superintendent, I believe a district’s greatest assets are the faculty and staff. It is through their continued hard work and diligence that our students and district succeed” said Mr. Risha. “Over the next five years, I look forward to working closely with the administration, staff and faculty of the West Mifflin Area School District.”
